The Mount Isa Water Board is pleased to again sponsor the major prize of the 2015 Fishing Classic.
2015 sees the return of the infamous $50,000 Mount Isa Water Board Tagged Barra. “It is set to be a great year for the competition” the Mount Isa Water Board Chief Executive Stephen Farrelly said “Lake levels will be significantly better than last year and the return of the $50,000 prize means that while 2014 was good, the 2015 fishing competition will be even better”
“As the trustee for the R48 Reserve that surrounds Lake Moondarra, we understand the significance of the lake to the community” Mr Farrelly said “the Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic is a great celebration of the place the lake has in the life of Mount Isa and an opportunity to share that with visitors from out of town”.
“The Mount Isa Water Board is proud to be working with the Mount Isa Fish Stocking Group and Clancy Corporation to make the Friday October 23 through to Sunday October 25 event a resounding success.”
